Father’s Day is the only day when we get time to appreciate the love of our fathers. Everyone has their own loving style. This is not just a day to celebrate dads but granddads and all the other father figures we love and have in our lives.
As I have shared before, everyone has their own loving style. Some like to share gifts, and some try to give love by providing a variety of foods. I love food and its variety, but what I like more is making it and giving it to my father on Father’s Day.
Choosing what to cook is just a great question I often ask, but I always suggest they go for plant-based recipes as our fathers are always more attracted to nature. I like cooking homemade meals with different ideas and recipes.
Here are some recipes that are great for vegan and non-vegan dads.
1. Summer Picnic Pasta Salad:
Father’s Day is a time of year when I love to stay at home and spend the whole day with my dad. I like to go for brunch with him and my mother. This is such a great time to share the recipe for the perfect summer picnic Pasta salad. My father loves Pasta salads, so I like to make this tasty dish full of beans, peas, and carrots.
2. Spicy Cauliflower Wings:
Father’s Day is not just about extracurricular activity plans; it can be just about your dad. You can watch his favorite movie or have some delicious snacks. One idea is a spread of chips and dips with cauliflower wings.
3. Vegan Sweet Potato and Sausages Enchiladas:
If your dad loves Mexican food, then this is a must-have. I recommend you go for this recipe as it has delicious enchiladas. These are filled with baked sweet potatoes. It can also have sausages with kidney beans.
4. Spicy Ancho Barbeque Burgers with Caramelized Onions:
This is for dads who love meat. You can add ancho-spiked patties along with the black beans on the side. I learned this recipe from Veggie Burger Atelier. It is meaty with a hint of ancho chili powder.
5. Crispy Vegan Beer-Battered Tofu Fish and Chips:
This is a British classical fish recipe that also includes chips. It is one of the hit Father’s Day treats. It is not compulsory to make it with real seafood. You can also make some with beer-battered tofu.
6. Vegan Miso Glazed Eggplant Dengaku Donburi:
It is a traditional Japanese donburi recipe, which I learned from the cookbook The Everyday Vegan Cheat Sheet. This has meaty slices of eggplant, which my father loves. It also contains tofu, and if you don’t want to add that, then you can add radish and konjac.
7. Garlicky Vegan Tuscan Bean Pasta with Sun-Dried Tomatoes:
This is an Italian cuisine which is such a hit in my eyes, and you will love it too. If your dad is in love with pasta, then this is a good recipe for him. This is garlicky and creamy and an extraordinary spaghetti dish. It is loaded with sun-dried tomatoes, which makes it a lovable dish.
8. Vegan Mushroom and Truffled Zucchini Pizza:
Pizza is also a must-have on the table, especially those filled with cream and cheese. This is a simple recipe that I learned from Virtually Vegan. It has ribbons of delicious zucchini and some slices of mushrooms, which makes it more natural. Add some marinara base, and you are good to go.
9. Garlicky Brussels Sprout Tacos:
Make the celebration filled with taco night. I like to make a small bar on the countertop with different garlicky Brussels and sprouts. They are wholesome and tasty, with a lot of crispy tofu and creamy avocado, which I love. Remember to add the option of hot sauce.
10. Vegan Sichuan Eggplant Stir Fry With Sweet and Spicy Sauce:
When you eat this, you will remember the takeouts of a sweet and spicy blend of eggplants. This is such a must-have on our dinner tables as it has delicious vegan Sichuan eggplant with an excellent stir-fry recipe. It is a mouth-watering recipe that is sticky and spicy all at once.
11. Vegan Protein Pancakes with Spinach and Chia:
Who doesn’t add protein-filled pancakes to their breakfast? If you want to start Father’s Day, it’s my request that you start it with some vegan protein pancakes, which are a must-have. This is such a lovely recipe filled with spinach and chia seeds. You can pair this with syrup and some berries as well. I like to add fresh strawberries on the side.
12. Chocolaty Vegan Molten Lava Cake:
Everyone loves chocolate, but my love for chocolate is a little too much. I know it’s universal to love chocolaty recipes, but this is such a chocoholic recipe for chocoholic dads. Give them this recipe to fill their dreams of an explosion in the dessert.
13. New York Cheesecake:
This is one of my favorite desserts to make for this particular time. It is basically a raw cheesecake. There is no such kind or a real deal but just a New York-style version of Cheesecake.
