If you are looking for a snack which is healthy for your kids, and your better half, then believe me that there is no better choice than baking apple chips. Just by using apples, you can intake such a healthy diet.
I love crispy snacks and in this recipe, I sprinkle some cinnamon which gives it a tasty flavor and crisp. I would not recommend you to have the store-bought ones. There is a lot of sugar in them and they are fried, not baked.
So, if you want healthy snacking I would suggest you make Apple chips topped with cinnamon and a little butter if you like.
These chips are a feasible snack for the little handful especially if you want to go on small trips. These are healthy and one of my favorite recipes.
I had my first encounter with this in my school era. My mother made these for us so I can keep them in my bag and eat them during my lunch break.
It was so delicious that we always had these with me. Due to this, my father brought us some dried fruit along with dried jerky which made us more in love with homemade snacks.
I don’t like buying food dehydrators, but I love making them in the air fryer or baking some fruits such as apples and bananas.
They are easy to bake in the oven as well. You can make them very crispy and chewy. They do not take counter space. They are so awesome that even my kids say Dear Apple Chips, we love you. They take hardly any of your time.
But I would suggest you make them slow and steady. I can solely say that when I make them the whole house smells so awesome. They are crispy as I have said before and after one bite of this, you will also dance in the air.
Ingredients
- Apples: Apples are not only delicious but have vital nutrients. Some say that they contain a heavy amount of Vitamin C in them. Due to this, we can say that they contain antioxidants that are effective for a healthy brain and heart. This also contributes to digestive health.
- Cinnamon: Adding cinnamon to an apple is my favorite to go to.
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 200 degrees F.
- Wash the apples and cut them into slices. Don’t make thick slices because they will not be so crispy.
- Place the apples on the baking tray. Make sure you align them with care.
- Put the cinnamon on top. If you want to drizzle extra you can.
- Bake the apples for some time until they are crispy and crunchy.
- Turn off the oven and let the apples cool for some time.
- Enjoy your treat.
Extra Tips
What I ask my children to do in the end is to put some freshly homemade butter dip these apples into butter and enjoy the treat. This is my favorite craving as well.
Once you eat this combo you will see how rewarding it is to have apples in the home. So, let’s give it a try and enjoy the taste of apple in a new way.
